The rally organizer is Motorcykelhistoriska Klubben Syd, MCHK Syd. (The southern section of the Swedish Historic Motorcycle Club).
Skåne Rundt is an annual international rally of vintage motorcycles. This year they must be made before December 31st In 1939 the same limit that existed when the rally was restarted in1970.
This year Skåne Rundt also includes a theme, motorcycles manufactured up to1919 31st of December. In this group you start with a reduced entry fee.
From the experience of recent years, the route – where possible – will avoid passing unnecessary in communities and at the traffic signals.
The rally contains competitive activities for both riders and passengers. The route covers 550 km around the province of Skåne. At the time stages is a bonus scheme for the benefit of participants in the older motorcycles.
The start is from Örenäs Castle (which offers a double room at 600 SEK / prs and a single room 850 SEK / prs ink. frukost,.) at Glumslöv, south of Helsingborg. There is a great televisionguarded parking, please note no caravans and camper vans in the parking area.
Saturday's program After the start in Örenäs Slott, Glumslöv, we ride to the well known Saxtorp where we take our first coffee break. From there on we head towards Smygehamn, the southernmost tip of Sweden.
Then the route goes eastwards along the coast to Skivarp where we will stop for lunch at Skivarps Byakrog.
After lunch we will continue eastwards along the coast by Ystad to Simrishamn where we stop for an afternoon coffee or tea break. From there we continue northeast along the coastal road to Åhus.
The overnight accommodation has been arranged at Åhus Strand, which is a hotel with the capacity and high standard that we are keen to offer our participants.
Sunday's program After starting from the Åhus in the morning we go through Trolle Ljungby Castle north between the lakes Immeln and Ivösjön on scenic routes to Nyteboda Café where morning coffee is waiting for us.
Having rounded the lakes of northeast Skåne we will be served an early brunch at Broby Gästgivargård. On the small winding roads, we will continue through to Finjasjön and Röstånga where the lunch is waiting for us at Odengården.
From there we head towards the target of Örenäs Castle Glumslöv, where an enjoyable Award Ceremony will take place.
About 60 people are involved as voluntary officers in the rally, in our office, out on the track and in the accompanying service vehicles. Many thanks to all-comers to the rally is to be implemented.
Service vans are not equipped this year for major repairs, but such as gasoline and simpler technical help is available. Their main function is to act as rescuers to Åhus and Örenäs.
Those who do not follow the route must retrieve their vehicles on their own.
